Naples Mini-Split AC Experts
If you’re unfamiliar with mini-split systems, they’re well worth learning about. They’re a type of ductless air conditioning system that can cool anything from a single room to a whole home. A mini-split system combines a single sleek outdoor condenser with one or more indoor air handlers. You can install a wall-mounted air handler in each space that needs cooling. And a single mini-split system can serve up to eight air handlers simultaneously.
What’s important to know is that the connection between a mini-split system’s components includes a few refrigerant and power lines. As a result, installing one, even in finished spaces, isn’t difficult. In most cases, installing each air handler as close to an exterior wall as possible is the better route.
Then, installation requires little more than a roughly three-inch hole that we drill through the wall. However, even when you need an air handler in a room with no exterior wall, installation isn’t complex. The bundle of refrigerant and power lines can snake through walls quite easily in most cases.
A ductless mini-split AC system has some great advantages over alternative cooling solutions.
- Zoned cooling
- High energy efficiency
- Improved indoor air quality
- Excellent dehumidification
It’s worth pointing out that you can use a mini-split system to augment your home’s existing cooling capacity. For example, you could install one to serve a newly finished basement or home addition. That would give those spaces the cooling they need and avert the need to alter your home’s existing AC system.
